Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein has decided to publish a new procedure in the wake of recent complaints regarding the failure of public servants to report to Knesset committees.
According to the procedure, a committee headed by Edelstein will be set up, with the participation of two deputy chairmen from the coalition and the opposition, who will examine complaints by committee heads against public officials who failed to report properly to the committee discussions. The committee would be authorized to impose sanctions on those public employees who decided not to appear in Knesset committees.
