Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit has submitted a request to extend the suspension of Ashkelon Mayor Itamar Shimoni to the committee to review the suspension of municipal heads due to the filing of indictments.
The attorney general is also demanding that the restrictions imposed on Shimoni be extended for an additional year, until the beginning of March next year or until his term as mayor ends.
