Exit polls: Italy headed for hung parliament

Italy is on course for a hung parliament after Sunday’s election, exit polls suggest.

Initial projections say former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi's center-right coalition is set to win the most seats in the lower house of parliament, but is expected to get between 225-265 seats, below the 316 needed for an absolute majority.

Exit polls put the anti-establishment Five Star Movement in second place, according to the BBC.
