Chairwoman Shelly Yechimovich of the State Control Committee announced on Sunday evening that she has decided to cancel the meeting of the committee that was planned for tomorrow in the matter of a special auditing report entitled: The Ministry of Communications worked to promote the interests of Bezeq and its owners at the public's expense.
Controlling shareholder Shaul Elovitch is on house arrest, following his arrest on charges related to alleged improprieties at Bezeq. Yechimovich said, "The Knesset is the stage of the most important public debate, and it cannot ignore the main events in the state's life, but the attorney general, in his role as the general prosecutor, gave me good enough reasons to decide to cancel the hearing."
