Exhibit at UN HQ to counter General Assembly, UNESCO votes

Jerusalem and Heritage Minister Ze'ev Elkin and Israel's Ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, will open a new exhibition this week at United Nations headquarters in New York, presenting the Jewish historical continuum in Jerusalem for three thousand years.

The exhibition is part of Israel's response to the UN General Assembly's decision against United States President Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and in the wake of the abhorrent resolutions by the UN Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization in recent years denying a historical Jewish link to Jerusalem. The exhibition presents dozens of archaeological findings from the last 150 years.
