Russian President Vladimir Putin demanded Washington send over proof that Russian citizens interfered in the November 2016 presidential elections.
In a Friday interview with NBC TV, Putin said, "I have to see first what they've done. Give us materials, give us information." However, he noted that Russia "cannot respond" if the charges "do not violate Russian laws."
Last month, US Special Counsel Robert Mueller's office charged 13 Russian individuals and three companies with interfering in the US elections.
