President Reuven Rivlin went to the Hizme Checkpoint outside northern Jerusalem on Thursday to distribute the traditional Purim food packages to police and soldiers serving there.
He told them, "Even in the joy of the holiday, it is important that you know that we do not forget that the ability to rejoice also lies in our clear sense of security that exists thanks to you." He added, "You prove to all those who conspire against us that they will not be able to succeed."
