The Unit for the Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories has rejected claims against the post issued yesterday by the coordinator, Major General Yoav Poli Mordechai, in which Mohammed Tamimi of the Samarian Palestinian Authority village of Nabi Saleh was quoted as saying that he was injured in the head as a result of a bicycle crash, contrary to the claim of his family that his injury was caused by a rubber bullet fired at him by Israeli soldiers.
Mohammed's cousin Ahed and her mother are on trial for a confrontation with other Israeli soldiers - caught on video - in which Ahed slapped a soldier who did not respond with violence. Ahed claims her attack was in response to Mohammed's wounds at the hands of the IDF.
