The Knesset approved on Monday the first reading of a law granting the education minister the authority to prohibit organizations operating against the Israel Defense Forces from entering schools.

The law, initiated by Minister of Education Naftali Bennett and Chairwoman Shuli Mualem Refaeli of the of the Jewish Home Party faction, was born in light of the activity of the extreme leftist organization Breaking the Silence. It will go to committee for refinements before its final readings.
