The pedestrian who was struck and killed by a train near the Beit Yehoshua station, south of Netanya was a man in his forties who apparently committed suicide by jumping in front of the train.
The police arrived at the scene quickly, and after searching the car of the man, which was parked nearby, they discovered the body of his 4-year-old. The police suspect that the father murdered his son and left the body in the car - and then committed suicide.
