Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit and State Prosecutor Shai Nitzan have ordered the opening of a disciplinary investigation into the behavior of a Securities Authority employee, after he was found to have conducted correspondence with the detention judge in the Bezeq case and coordinated the extension of the detention.
The Justice Ministry stated that "the Attorney General and the State Attorney view with great severity the incident that was published this evening about correspondence between the ISA employee and the judge who deliberated the detention proceedings in Case 4000. The incident described is contrary to the basic principles according to which officials of the prosecution are supposed to act. It's an abnormal and unfortunate incident."
