Every year, lifesaving services are provided during Passover and after the holiday there's a break until the official opening of the bathing season. This year, the Minister of the Interior decided to advance the opening date of the swimming season to the seventh of Nissan/March 22nd, when students start the Passover break. Chairman Eli Malka of the municipalities association noted that this will add almost a month to the bathing season.
