MK Nurit Koren (Likud), a member of the Judicial Selection Committee, responded to the appointment of the new judges.
"At the end of a long, exhausting and nerve-racking day - we have succeeded! This is another step in my long-term plan to make the judicial system more ethical, egalitarian and just,” she said.
"We managed to appoint 16 women out of 28 positions. This is over 50 percent women, all of whom are high quality, professional and excellent. This is a tremendous achievement and while the headlines talk about the two Supreme Court justices - I will concentrate on the macro. Integrating women and growing them out of the system is the right way,” she added.
