Social Equality Minister Gila Gamliel (Likud) on Thursday addressed the appointments of the first haredi woman judge and the first Arab woman registrar.
Gamliel criticized the fact that two male judges and no females were selected to the Supreme Court.
"I welcome the breakthrough in the appointment of haredi woman judge and an Arab woman registrar. The fact that the list of judges chosen for the Supreme Court does not include women proves that the road to social equality is still long. We missed a historic opportunity to influence the makeup and character of the Court,” she said.
