An international corruption report was published Wednesday by Transparency International Israel, which shows that in 2017 New Zealand (with a maximum score of 89) leads the index, followed by Denmark, Finland and Norway.

Syria, South Sudan, and Somalia (with a score of only 9) are the last places.

Israel ranks 32nd out of 180 countries, with 62. Israel has dropped its position in the 2016 index from 28th place out of 176 countries, with a score of 64.

Among the 35 OECD countries, Israel ranks 23rd, slightly above the bottom third.
