The Ministerial Committee on Legislation has endorsed a bill by Member of Knesset Merav Ben-Ari, with the support and leadership of Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan, to increase the number of visitors allowed to enter in clubs, restaurants and cafes from 1 person per square meter to one person in a square measuring seven tenths of a meter on each side.
This compares with places such as London, New Zealand and Scotland, where the occupancy factor is based on a square with half-meter sides.
