Kish: MKs from the opposition also wanted to hold a discussion

Chairman Yoav Kish of the Knesset Interior Committee has rejected complaints against him about summoning Police Commissioner Roni Alshiekh to a committee discussion tomorrow on the conduct of the police during the investigations of corruption allegations against Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.

Kish said, "I am fulfilling my parliamentary commitment as the head of the committee supervising the police. Members of Knesset from the opposition also asked to hold this urgent discussion in requests that were submitted behind the scenes and openly, like the urgent agenda request submitted by MK Revital Swid of the Zionist Union. It's a pity that just for headlines and 'petty politics' they ignore the responsibility of the Knesset and its function."
