Wet followed by windy weather

Occasional showers with a chance of isolated thunderstorms are expected through Tuesday from the northern border to the northern Negev, accompanied by flash flooding in the southern and eastern wadies and other flooding in low-lying areas. A drop in temperatures below average will make for snow over Mount Hermon. Strong winds are expected and there's a high-wave warning at Mediterranean beaches. The rain will weaken in the afternoon with a chance of light rain on Wednesday morning. Otherwise variable cloudiness will take over through Friday with a slight warming trend on Wednesday and Thursday. Strong easterly winds will prevail from Thursday to Friday morning, when there will be a chance of rain, mainly in the south.
