Attorney Itamar Ben-Gvir has welcomed the decision of the Department for the Investigation of Police Offices to accept his complaint and indict an officer from the Jerusalem District Police who attacked a haredi client. Ben-Gvir said, "This is a first step but not enough. The police officer must be removed. Anyone who harms civilians by no fault of their own cannot serve as a patrol officer."
It should be noted that a civil suit of 75,000 shekels was also filed against the officer, and tomorrow the State Attorney's Office is supposed to respond if it will represent him.
