Minister of Culture and Sports Miri Regev said Thursday, "I call on the attorney general to immediately open an investigation into the comments of Police Commissioner Alsheikh regarding the sending of private investigators by the prime minister so that they will collect material about officers who are investigating him."
The senior Likud party figure said that if Alsheik's words were true, it was a most serious matter.
