A positive result for rabies was obtained today for a jackal found in Menahemia in the Emek Hamaayanot Council region of the Beit She'an Valley.
The Ministry of Health requests that anyone who has been in contact with the infected animal or a stray in the area or who has animals that may have come into contact urgently contact the nearest health office or hospital emergency room to consider preventive treatment.
