A month before the scheduled date for the destruction homes in the Netiv Haavot neighborhood of the community of Elazar in the heart of Gush Etzion, more than 60 children from the neighborhood went to the Knesset today to speak to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein about the demolition.
Netanyahu told the children, "We will do everything we can. It's not easy, it's a very big struggle and it's not simple. A number of times we have succeeded and a number of times we have not. You will have a home. The question is whether it will be the same house." Edelstein, described the High Court of Justice decision to raze the homes as an "accident" and promised, as a Gush Etzion resident, to see to it that permanent houses are authorized. He signed a petition the children brought and promised to pass it on to the rest of the Knesset.
