According to a preliminary investigation of Monday afternoon's attack, a terrorist arrived at the hitchhiking stop at the entrance to Ariel and stabbed a 40-year-old man.
The Israel Defense Forces' spokesman said that an IDF officer who identified the terrorist pursued him in his car and hit him but the terrorist escaped. IDF forces are searching for him in the area.
