Peace Now (Shalom Achshav) has slammed the government's approval of a proposal to authorize the Samarian Jewish outpost of Havat Gilad.
The leftist group said, "The authorization of Havat Gilad is a new record of subservience to the settlers. The government surrendered to exploitation of an abominable murder and turned an illegal outpost on private land into a new settlement. By authorizing Havat Gilad, an isolated outpost deep in the (West) Bank, the government is harming the chances for two states and is granting a prize to criminals who steal land."
