Four members of the United States Congressmen have sent a letter to US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson demanding the promotion of industrial production in Judea and Samaria. According to senior administration officials, the freeze in the industrial and commercial areas in Judea and Samaria will harm the chances of normalization between Israelis and Palestinians.
The appeal to the Trump administration was initiated by Erez Zadok of the Samarian city of Elkana during a meeting with the representatives a few week ago, when presented the them with his economic plan, entitled "Industry and Sustainability in Judea and Samaria." Zadok's plan calls on the United States and European governments to grant grants to international companies that establish factories in Judea and Samaria to create joint workplaces for Israelis and Palestinian Authority residents, thereby creating normalization and co-existence in the region, with extension to additional areas after that.
