The Foreign Ministry said on Thursday "The State of Israel resolutely opposes the decision of the Polish Senate" to approve a law which will impose a prison sentence on those who say the Polish government had a role in the Holocaust.
A ministry statement continued, "Israel views with great severity any attempt to harm the historical truth, and no law will change the facts."
