A court in Paris announced yesterday that a psychiatric opinion states definitively that Kobili Traore the alleged murderer Sarah Halimi is fit to stand trial.
Halimi was stabbed and thrown from the balcony of her house at the beginning of April last year. Traore was arrested some time after the murder and instead of being interrogated and sent to detention, experts determined he was suffering from mental health problems and sent him to a psychiatric hospital for nearly three months. Only after much pressure and protests did the prosecution decide that the 27-year-old Traura could be transferred to a prison and opened an investigation against him.
