Over 1,086 new lawyers were inducted into the Israel Bar Association after passing last month's entrance examination. The new attorneys officially became lawyers at a festive evening held at Jerusalem's International Convention Center.
According to data from the Israel Bar Association, 615 of the new attorneys were women and 471 were men. 125 new lawyers (11.5%) are over forty when the youngest is 23 and the oldest is 67 years old.
30% of all new lawyers (345) come from universities and two-thirds from colleges. About one-fifth of the graduates (209) are graduates of the Ono Academic College, and 182 of them are graduates of IDC Herzliya. 121 new lawyers are graduates of the Hebrew University and 117 are graduates of Tel Aviv University. Most of the new lawyers (714) come from the Tel Aviv District.
