The Knesset plenum has approved the final readings of a proposal by Chairman Eitan Cabel of the Knesset Economics Committee other MKs to amend the Consumer Protection Law and to obligate the various companies that collect a "fixed payment" for ongoing transactions to indicate exactly what is being charged.
The approved amendment stipulates that in a continuing transaction, a business owner may collect fixed use fees only if he specifies in the invoice the components for which the payment is collected and the cost.
