MK Shuli Mualem-Rafaeli(Jewish Home) sparred with MKs Yoav Kisch(Likud) Yifat Shasha-Biton(Kulanu) and with MK Betzalel Smotrich from her own faction regarding the Tender Years Clause.
MK Mualem wished to give preference to the parent who cared more for the child before the divorce while those who are suspected of violence will be at a disadvantage. The other MKs wished to give preference to the parent who can provide economic stability to the child and wished to give preference to an egalitarian agreement over sharing of children.
