Minister of the Interior Aryeh Deri has expressed confidence after being interrogated by police on corruption and tax allegations.

Writing on Twitter, the chairman of the Sephardic haredi-religious Shas party said, "I have completed my interrogation and as usual I answered all the questions I was asked." He continued, "Everything is good and will be even better with G-d's help. I am now on my way to Netivot, to the celebration [marking the anniversary of the passing] of the [kabbalistic rabbi] Baba Sali zt "l. May his merits protect us and all the people of Israel."
