Member of Knesset Eitan Cabel (Zionist Union) has described his questioning by police in Case 2000, which centers around allegations that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu promised to lower the impact of the free-of-charge Yisrael Hayom on the financial status of Yediot Ahronot in exchange for more favorable coverage of his family by the newspaper.

Cabel said, "I replied to everything I was asked and I trust the law enforcement authorities. As always, I acted according to the law and I suggest that you wait patiently until the investigation is complete."
