Opposition leader Yitzhak Herzog has thanked and saluted security forces for the capture and elimination of the terrorists involved in last week's murder of Rabbi Raziel Shevach and their work for the eradication of terror in general.

Referring to increased Arab and Muslim belligerence in the wake of United States President Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital, the Zionist Union lawmaker said, "The reality on the ground is tense. The struggle against terror is not over and the right mix of 'sticks and carrots' must be used to deal with the new and complex reality with the Palestinians."
