Shomron police arrested the father of a young female resident of the north who was found injured with stab wounds near the University of Jenin where she studies. The student was taken in serious condition to a Jenin hospital.
The father of the girl was arrested near the site of the incident by Palestinian police and a few hours ago he was transferred to Israeli police and charged with attempted murder.
The father's wife was also arrested on suspicion of plotting to commit a crime.
Police will ask Wednesday to extend the remand of the suspects.
