4 arrested at Shechem protest

Dozens of young Jews blocked the roads to Arab traffic at the entrance to the Samarian Palestinian Authority city of Nablus on Thursday evening in protest of this week's attack on Havat Gilad in which Rabbi Raziel Shevach was murdered.

The protesters said that the army refuses to place checkpoints on exits from the city, even though there is a terrorist squad that is circling the area armed with weapons. Executive Director Zvi Succot of the Otzma Yehudit (Jewish Power) movement said, "We will not tolerate a situation in which the daily routine of the residents of Shechem is better than that of the Jews in the area." Police arrested four youths for being disorderly.
