NIS 2.5 billion more for the education budget

The Ministry of Education budget for the years 2019-2018 will increase by about 2.5 billion shekels (4.4 percent), and reach NIS 59 billion in the next school year, beyond the additional budgets that will be allocated for the construction of classrooms. The budget supplement will provide a response to a wide range of educational needs, first and foremost the new program by Education Minister Naftali Bennett to shortening vacations. In addition, reforms will continue to promote mathematics and science studies, the transition of the focus in the study of English to English as it is spoken and technological-professional education.

In addition, the budget includes the promotion of social reforms aimed at reducing gaps - activity programs for every child and a plan to promote the north.
