State Comptroller Yosef Shapira fined the Likud NIS 350,000 after determining that Likud's annual confab in Eilat constituted an illegal campaign contribution. According to Shapira, the Likud's annual 'Likudiada' event in Eilat last week promoted the Likud despite the party not bearing any expenses of the weekend, which he said was akin to an illegal donation.
