The Syrian Foreign Ministry petitioned the UN Secretary-General and the Security Council after the attack Tuesday in the suburbs of Damascus and claimed that the attack was orchestrated by Israel.
"The aggressive approach of Israel will lead to an explosion in the region and will complicate the situation. Israel is supporting terror and perpetuating the occupation of Arab territories," the ministry's letter read.
