Jerusalem deputy mayor Dov Kalmanovich who was seriously injured in the first intifada by a petrol bomb, welcomed the initiative to offset funds transferred to the PA against the funds it uses to support terror.
Kalmanovich said that the committee was told that every terrorist becomes a clerk in the PA and receives a salary besides other benefits his family receives.
He added that offsetting the funds could lead to a lowering of motivation to perform terror attacks and said that this is what he had stressed in the committee.
