Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has announced that Hungary will not agree to bring in additional Muslim immigrants at the cost of continuing its confrontation with the European Union. Interviewed by the German newspaper Bild, he said, "We do not see these people as Muslim refugees, we see them as Muslim invaders."
Orban said, "The difference between us is that Germany wanted immigrants, and we do not understand how a country like Germany, which has coped with anarchy and chaos as a result of the influx of immigrants, can celebrate the illegal crossing of its borders as something good." He added, "The solution is not to divide people in the European Union illegally between all the EU countries," concluding, "We need to help where the problem is, not to bring immigrants here."
