Air force founder Hugo Marom passes away at 89

Hugo Marom, one of the founders of the Israel Air Force, has passed away at the age of 89.

Marom logged 22,000 flight hours, of which 9,500 were as a test pilot. The native of the Czech city of Brno, who left with the last of the children's transports to Britain organized by Sir Nicolas Winton, flew 156 different types of aircraft.
