Member of Knesset Aliza Lavie (Yesh Atid) has responded angrily to the cancellation of the agenda of the Ministerial Committee on Legislation, in light of the Likud faction's disagreement with the Jewish Home faction, saying, "The government is simply sabotaging the Knesset's work systematically. Critical laws are stuck because of personal quarrels, and Knesset committees are only concerned with promoting laws related to the survival of the coalition. It is regrettable to see how many members of the government identify cracks in the coalition and a weakness of leadership - and exploit this for [political] blackmail, each for personal needs."

Lavie continued, "In view of the absolute paralysis in the ministerial committee, I will present my bill next Wednesday. The proposal is intended to stop the entrance of dayanim [religious-court judges -ed.] into religious schools for the purpose of signing petitions for exemption and to prevent the use of improper pressure on young religious women who wish to integrate into meaningful service in the IDF."
