Minister Gilad Erdan responded to a Channel 2 report that the Foreign Ministry is opposed to the plan by President Trump to significantly cut the funding of the UNRWA organization.
Erdan said that "I find it hard to believe that the Israeli foreign ministry would oppose a cut to UNRWA, a body which perpetuates the problem of the refugees instead of solving it and which helps terror in so many proven ways. Would the ministry protect such a body from cuts? I hope its not true."
