Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh called to develop a new strategy to foil the US and Israeli decisions on Jerusalem and "to reestablish the Palestinian issue as a national freedom struggle led by a local intifada."

Haniyeh suggested declaring "the end of the peace process" and demanding the cessation of all normalization efforts with Israel.

Haniyeh also accused Israel of plotting to start religious wars in the region in order to wear out the Arabs and keep them involved in internal problems.
