Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Tuesday, "Iran's enemies have been encouraging the demonstrations in the country in recent days with money, weapons and intelligence agents."
It was his first response to demonstrations against corruption and the economic and human-rights situation in the country. At least 21 people have been killed in clashes between demonstrators and security forces.
