Chief of Staff Gadi Eizenkot of the Israel Defense Forces said on Tuesday, "Israel's greatest threat in the 70th year since its establishment is Hezbollah and the Iranian umbrella in Lebanon."
Speaking at a conference in memory of former chief of staff Amnon Lipkin-Shahak, Eizenkot noted, "Hizbullah has changed from a defender of Lebanon to an organization that fights as an Iranian emissary in Syria, Iraq and Yemen and is sending at least half its force outside Lebanon."
