Knesset House Committee chairman MK Yoav Kisch(Likud) initiated steps to pass swift legislation which will enable the continued activity of Channel 20 as well as removing restrictions from particularist channels 9 and 24.
Kisch is using the proposal of MK Sharren Haskel which will ease the heavy regulation suffered by channels 20, 9 and 24.
Haskel said that "it is wrong to close Channel 20. Its time the citizens of Israel had free, quality and varied media which will compete for viewers and that the heavy regulation be removed."
