The Knesset Internal Affairs Committee is scheduled to convene today to approve the Supermarkets Law for a second and third reading in the plenum next week.
The law expands the discretion given to the Minister of the Interior and determines that his consent will be a condition for the approval of bylaws relating to the opening of businesses on the Jewish Sabbath.
