Communications Minister Ayoob Kara said that there will be legislation in the coming weeks to enable Channel 20, Channel 9, Channel 24 and the commercial channel to receive a proper license which will remove regulation which is threatening their closure.
Kara said that a committee would meet Thursday to prepare the law for its first reading next Monday.
Channel 20 director-general Sachi Franz announced earlier to workers that they would receive letters regarding a hearing before their dismissal.
