At least 881,000 children in Israel live in poverty, and the number of criminal cases opened for sexual offenses against minors has increased by 25% since 2011, according to the "Children in Israel 2017" report by the Council for the Child.
Council director Vered Windman submitted the report to President Reuven Rivlin this morning.
